Mergers

Cynthia Barnett | 9/1/2006
Florida's construction slowdown hasn't seemed to phase Akerman Senterfitt, which recently merged with Wickwire Gavin, a nationally recognized construction law and government contracts boutique. Thirty attorneys in Virginia, Los Angeles and Wisconsin are joining the more than 80 who make up Akerman's real estate group. Akerman Chairman and CEO Tom Cardwell says he hopes the merger will help Wickwire attorneys access Florida markets and development projects and give Akerman and its clients more national and international reach on large-scale development projects, disaster preparedness, construction and government contracts.
